Rome
Rome, the capital of Thera, was once the most magnificent city on the continent. The city is the home to the Roman Colliseum, the Aqueduct, the Roman Senate and the famous Roman baths. Rome is also the location of Froboz's magic shop, one of the great wand stores in the Realm.
The city is surrounded on two sides by forests, the Dark Forest in the north and a blocked off forest to the south. East of Rome is the [[Great Eastern Desert] and west of the city is the Via Atalia, the highway to the port city of Atalia.
The Marcellus family, elsewhere known as the Relelhart family, maintains a palace in the southern part of the city, near Froboz's store. The family also holds land and the Marcellus Manor off the Via Atalia, right outside the western gate.

The magnificent city of Rome is the crossroads east of [Atalia](/Atalia), south of [Midgaard](/Midgaard),
west of [Thalos](/Thalos), and north of [Sodom](/Sodom). True to the maxim "all roads lead to Rome",
Rome is sincerely the center of the continent of Thera. From the city, the Caesar,
with his senate, and house dictate the empire ranging from the small village north
of Atalia to the camps for the campaign against the Gauls. Within the great city is
a large bathhouse, the glorious capitol, and the renown coliseum where chariots
race and gladiators fight to the death. Enjoy this area, do not run into the DTs,
and be intrigued by the gladiator matches :)
